The BBW = Porn Connection

Go to Google and type in the term BBW and hit search.  Of the first 20 links listed, 7 of them are for dating/”romance” sites, 2 are for lingerie, 1 is for the NJ BBW Bash (props to us for promoting), and the rest are all links to porn sites, many involving weight gain.

So, someone new to the scene who looks up BBW, assuming they are impressionable, sees that:
1.  BBW’s are looking for men
2.  They only wear lingerie
3.  They attend events called “bashes”
4.  They make lots of porn.  LOTS……….OF…………PORN
5.  Not only do they love their fat, they want to get fatter.

The internet can cause one to draw some funny conclusions, if one isn’t intelligent.  So for me, someone who’s been part of this diverse community for the past 14 years, can I connect the dots to see why so many guys who are new to the whole BBW/FA scene conclude from this that it’s all about sex?

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I can.

Furthermore, I think that many webmodels play into this via the “product” they offer.

Let’s talk about what the product is.  The product is not the actual person, although I’m of the opinion that some of the paysite girls have blurred the lines between who they are, and their product.  In other words, they have BECOME their product in real life.  The product is the sexual fantasy that they sell on their websites, their cam shows, their Clips4Sale, and on message forums where they can promote.  In most (not all) cases, the fantasy includes weight gain as well as the fat fetish.

Quoted today by someone who is familiar with many of the paysite models.

I have no problem with paysite models “lying” so to speak, as long as they’re not horrible actors then they can sell all the fantasies they want. A web model may absolutely hate the idea of gaining weight but the concept makes her money. Its no different than wrestling as she is selling a product that entertains in order to make money, just like wrestling, tv shows and reading a book. There’s no such thing as vampires and 13 year old wizards with giant glasses but obviously the new hip thing is reading about them…..they’re not real but they make money too.

Is it lying, yes. Is it making her money, yes. Are people still entertained and getting their money’s worth….HELL YES. I remember one time this unknown (and thankfully gone now) bbw posted a clip of her “350 pound weigh-in” and she stepped on the scale and it said 311…..she then quickly panned the camera away and was like “OMG I did it…I’m 350 pounds, look how fat I am” Obviously she’s nowhere near 350 pounds but her doing the 360 rotate and showing off her body still made it hot.

Let’s face it, porn sites are popular, maybe even moreso in the BBW/FA community than in the rest of our world.  There are gaggles of fat women who have chosen to enter the BBW paysite business.  Talk about American enterprise!

Size Prostitution

Being around the community for as long as I have, I’ve become friends with many of the BBW models (although I’m pretty sure a few will end those friendships after they read my blog).  I have heard many reasons why they chose to model, but the most common is the money.  Guys will pay money to women to meet their sexual needs/fantasies on the internet and in real life.  Does the idea of guys paying women for sex, regardless of the distance between them, or intimacy, sound familiar?

A friend of mine refers to it as size prostitution, and it seems to be BIG business.  Such a big business in fact, that the various webmasters, models and related entrepreneurs have become cutthroat in their business tactics.  There’s a lot at stake here, and little or no attention is given to size acceptance, either by the model OR her subscriber.  One is looking for the payoff, and the other is looking for the happy ending, plain and simple.

So, no one is harmed, right?  This comment from one of the webmodels:

“I don’t see anything wrong with the practice itself.”

See, here’s what I think is wrong with it.  The internet, and size prostitution has created trolls who see fat women on the internet who don’t have paysites and assume all of the assumptions about BBW’s that I noted above.  There are so many of these trolls that they have branched into troll sites to discuss with little moderation what they think not only of BBW website models, but of non models who have pics up on the net as well.  Not only is it frustrating for women who have to deal with this so often on the internet, but in real life as well, but it’s also frustrating for guys like me who don’t subscribe to those ridiculous assumptions, yet have to overcome the assumption made by so many BBW’s that all guys in the community must be like this.

I recently sent size acceptance leader Marilyn Wann a friend request on Facebook, and was turned down.  It took a private message from my friend to Substantia Jones of Adipositivity to Marilyn to get me approved as a friend.  Evidently Marilyn looked at my friends list, saw some webmodels, and assumed I was one of the troll “collectors” who just friended fat women to steal their pics for “rubout fodder”.

For me, I found that all frustrating, but very understandable.

I’ve never subscribed to a paysite.  My ex was a popular webmodel who shared and made money off of the entire size prostitution concept.  I shot her pics & videos, and while I was told that I did a great job, I disliked it simply because while I loved my wife, I really disliked her product.  Same is true of many of my webmodel friends.  I care for many of them as friends, but could care less about their product.

I prefer to deal in reality, not in fantasy.

Unfortunately, until others wise up that this concept of size prostitution is nothing but a myth, both men and women who come to this community will start to make the assumptions that I’ve noted above, which is further perpetuated at every BBW dance or bash by the trolls and paysite model wannabes who think that even at the simplest level, they can get what they want via actions that support the generalizations noted in this blog.

More on this soon.

  1. As most of you readers already know, I don’t allow comments to be posted on my blogs, but rather on my Facebook, as I don’t want readers extrapolating my thoughts into any more than what they are. That said, FRIENDS of mine are welcome to give me their thoughts on my Facebook page.

Halley Blasdell is a friend of mine, and is a feedee. She has posted a blog in response to mine. Here it is in a nutshell –

“Here is a blog I read everytime a new post comes out, this one really made my day.

    https://thenatural54.wordpress.com/2011/01/26/the-bbw-porn-connection/

While I agree with the OP… I do want to point out that there are clearly some people who have hedonistic tendencies, and struggle with the duality of who I am in reality and who I want you/readers to see. I am who I am. I would never lie, because the truth is always better- even if it hurts. Hence my warning on the drop down from my tumblr-

I am 24 years old. I am female. My name is Amatrix.
I am a gainer, I am a feedee and I am a foodee. Most important of all, I am honest.

I try to keep my personal life apart from my fetish life. Sometimes I let it over lap, but only when I believe there is a clear line drawn in the sand. I dont lie about having a boyfriend, so why lie about anything else? I am who I am, take it or leave it.

I am more then my fetishes… I am more then my size. I have talked about fat acceptance… and more importantly size acceptance here.

Yea, being naked and eating online brings home the bacon… but I can eat it with a smile knowing I dont regret anything, except not ordering extra bacon.”

Let me say that I have NO grudge against feeders and feedees, nor how those who deal in the reality of weight gain conduct themselves. I have had feeder fantasies in the past, and while they are no longer part of my personal experience, I understand where they fit into the grand scheme of the sexual part of the BBW/FA landscape.

My issue is NOT with girls like Halley, who is a legitimate gainer and feedee, but with those who propagate they myth that ALL women in the fat community are like that. They do a real disservice to all involved, as it isn’t a reality. Girls like Halley are not common in the community, yet if you ask most guys, they express frustration over their inability to find more women like that in real life. If they weren’t led to believe that most of the women WANTED to gain via the false messages in so many of the paysites, their expectations would be more realistic about how BBW’s should be perceived.

I can assure you that it wasn’t like this back in 1997 when I first began to explore this, but it’s slowly changed over time. For me, it hasn’t been for the better.
